1900 | Dedication of the rebuilt church by Bishop O'Dea. | ||
1923 | St. Vincent de Paul Conference was activated at the church. | ||
1927 | Groundbreaking of a new school and chapel at Warren Avenue and John Street. | ||
1928 | Groundbreaking of the Sisters' Convent at Warren Avenue and Thomas Street. | ||
1940 | Frs. Vincent and Vickstrom are the first Redemptorists ordained from the parish. | ||
1953 | Fr. Richard Ochiltree, C.Ss.R., who was raised in the parish, celebrates his first Mass. | ||
1958 | World's Fair Committee condemns much of the surrounding land, including where Sacred Heart of Jesus was located. Sixteen property owners, including Sacred Heart, appealed to the State Supreme Court to prevent the Committee from condemning their property, and won. | ||
1960 | Archbishop Connolly blessed the cornerstone of the present church. | ||
1969 | Sacred Heart Elementary School closes. | ||
1972 | The Sisters' Convent closes. | ||
1979 | Parish assembly and the first elections for Parish Council members are held. | ||
The Sacred Heart Shelter of the Catholic Community Services of the Archdiocese of Seattle occupies the second and third floors of the former convent. | |||
1987 | St. Vincent de Paul begins serving meals to the homeless, as well as distributing sack lunches, and operating as a food bank. | ||
1989 | Sacred Heart celebrates 100 years of ministry in Seattle, making it at the time, the city's oldest church. | ||
2002 | Fr. Richard Quimn, C.Ss.R. becomes Pastor. | ||
Restoration begins on church, school, and rectory. | |||
2004 | Sacred Heart's Young Adult Ministry (YAMS) is formed under Fr. Joseph Morin, C.Ss.R. | ||
The parish begins to house the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) night shelter for men in the basement of the former school's basement. | |||
2005 | Fr. Ivan Dawson, C.Ss.R., becomes pastor. | ||
2007 | Fr. Harry Grile, C.Ss.R., becomes pastor; Fr. Joe Ngo, C.Ss.R., becomes parochial vicar. | ||
2010 | Archbishop Brunett consecrates the church altar and blesses the John Paul II Adoration Chapel. | ||

2012 | Queen Anne Food Bank, a ministry of Sacred Heart, takes over from St. Vincent de Paul to continue various food programs. | ||
2014 | Sacred Heart celebrates its 125th Anniversary. | ||
