The findings of the Pennsylvania Grand Jury and the news of abuse by Archbishop McCarrick have devastated the Church and have left many Catholics feeling deeply angry, disturbed, and hurting.

The prayer of repentance and  healing will be for all victims of clery sexual abuse, ask forgiveness for the sins of action and inaction on the part of Church leaders, and pray for the renewal the Church needs to protect the vulnerable and proclaim Christ's Gospel with transparency and integrity.

This service will mark the beginning of a NOVENA OF PRAYER TO MARY, MOTHER OF THE CHURCH throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle. All are encouraged to joini the novena, beginning on the evening of October 4, and concluding with the weekend Masses on October 13 and 14.
